Creating a mother of pearl mosaic:
Step 1. As a basis for creating mother of pearl, we recommend using stationery such as a file pocket or a corner folder. They are made of a denser material than a regular stationery file and it is much more convenient to remove the finished mother of pearl from them.
Step 2. In turn, put on the plastic stationery folder or file the selected shades of the Chameleon gel (if desired, you can mix it with acrylic paints) and carefully spread the spatula with a thin layer of about 1.5-2 mm on the surface.
Step 3. Dry the materials during the day. The next day, carefully remove the resulting pearl film from the corner.
Step 4. Cut the pieces of pearl mosaic.
Using scissors, we cut the finished film into small pieces and begin to assemble the mosaic, laying out the pieces close to each other.
Step 5. Glue the mosaic on the acrylic glossy varnish, pressing each piece
You can also stick to any acrylic medium, for example, a thinner of acrylic paints, various acrylic varnishes, or varnish-glue for decoupage.
Step 6. After the entire pattern is laid out, you can leave it that way, or you can fill the joints between the pieces, for example, with an acrylic contour or wipe it with decorative wax.
Thus, you can decorate any home decoration or accessories, experimenting and combining techniques of imitation mother of pearl with any other techniques!
